SHOW SYNOPSIS: Con man Harold hill travels to the small town of River City, Iowa to earn his fortune. He decides to convince the town that they need a boys' band and then plans to run away once the boys have paid for instruments and uniforms. He even claims to be a professor of music. His scheme is moving along perfectly until Harold falls in love with the town piano teacher, Marian. Even though she knows that he's a con man, she still loves him for the hope that he brought to the town. Harold, on the other hand, is inspired by Marian's goodness, reveals his secrets to the town and becomes an honest man.

ROLES:

Harold Hill: A charming traveling salesman whom attempts to con a small Iowa town by starting a bogus boys marching band.

Marian Paroo: The beautiful and haughty town librarian and piano teacher.

Marcellus Washburn: Harold's comic sidekick.

Mrs. Paroo: Marian's traditional Irish mother.

Mayor Shinn: A blustery pompous politician.

Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn:The stern matriarch of River City and Mayor Shinn's wife.

Tommy Djilas: The town's juvenile delinquent who has a crush on Zaneeta.

Zaneeta Shinn: The mayor's oldest daughter who has a crush on Tommy.

Amaryllis: Marian's young piano student.

Winthrop Paroo: Marian's younger brother who speaks with a lisp.

Olin Britt: Member of Board of Education

Oliver Hix: Member of Board of Education

Ewart Dunlop: Member of Board of Education

Jacey Squires: Member of the Board of Education

Charlie Cowell: A rival traveling salesman who is determined to reveal Harold for the con man that he really is.
